Polly Sawtell was born New Year's Day in 1806 in New York, daughter of Edmund Sawtell and Hannah Gaines. She married 2 Dec 1828 in New York to Edward Lewis Way. He was born 19 May 1804 in Massachusettts, son of Solomon Way and Sally Tyron. She died 22 Feb 1839 in Pittsford, Hillsdale, Michigan at the age of 33. They had 5 children.
